LG Electronics Malaysia launched the world’s first Curved OLED TV at its “With LG, It’s All Possible” product showcase event.
The Curved OLED TV is said to be the most sophisticated invention in curved display technology and has been specifically designed to meet the human vision range. The curved screen is the optimal form for a display to provide an equal distance from all parts of the screen to the viewer’s eyes. The 55-inch TV provides an immersive viewing experience to the viewer.
“This product showcase allows LG to demonstrate our continuous commitment to consumers that when it comes to innovation, smart technologies and stylish design, LG is incomparable. Today’s event also underlines LG’s distinct leadership in display technology with the introduction of the world’s first LG Curved OLED TV which has set a whole new benchmark in viewing experience,” said David Oh, Managing Director, LG Electronics Malaysia.
The event also saw LG introducing its Ultra HD TV that offers a high level of picture quality that is four times higher than Full HD. The TV is also said to be able to transform ordinary video into Ultra HD-like quality ones using a feature called ‘ULTRA HD Resolution Upscaler’.
LG’s newest smart TV operating system, webOS, also makes an appearance here. That name might sound familiar to technophiles as that was the excellent OS that used to power smart devices and it was licensed to LG last year. Having said that, you can imagine the kind of platform that resides in an LG smart TV.
Apart from the above, LG also introduced a wide range of home appliances which include refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, air conditioning units, air-purifiers and vacuum cleaners. To round up LG’s offering, it also presented the HOM-BOT SQUARE robotic vacuum cleaner.
